$600 when checking out with Affirm. I was able to get approved for the loan immediately and Affirm states it doesn't hurt your credit score.

This is the lowest I've seen this particular card and I've been hunting for 2 weeks. I've read that this is one of the best 6900 XT models you can buy right now.

For those wondering what 'Affirm' is..??

"Affirm is a smarter way to pay over time. Shop pretty much anywhere and pay at your own pace without any fees, so you can get the things you love without breaking your budget."

be careful with Affirm - it is a loan contrary to the previous zip payment deal. Some horror stories on reddit...I decided it was not worth the headache and went with AMD bundle deal (7900x cpu + 6950 XT for $1172 from AMD directly)

I couldn't comment on this because I had never used Affirm prior to this purchase. I was, after all, as skeptical as you about it. Now that I've actually checked out with them, I'll share my experience for posterity.

Took me about 5 minutes to sign up and check out with Affirm. About a day after purchase, I got a text from them saying my purchase was confirmed. I logged into the website to manage my loan. Found an option to make a payment for the remaining balance which allowed me to pay the entire amount in one go. Everything was clearly labelled and easy to find. Process took less than 3 minutes. I paid $0 in interest for this GPU from Newegg.

No effect on my credit, no headaches, no horror story. I imagine issues arise when people don't make payments on time and get charged late fees. My recommendation would be pay off the loan ASAP all at once to avoid interest and complications.

I understand that some people may be reluctant to take out a loan, but as long as you have good credit and have the money to pay for everything upfront, you shouldn't run into any problems. Now that I've gone through the process myself, I can safely say that the experience was fast, easy, and smooth. I would not hesitate to checkout with Affirm again for another deal. Hopefully someone finds this useful for the future!

awesome, thanks for sharing! the stories I've read were about situations when something go wrong - like one guy returned his purchase back to newegg and shipping cost was not actually reflected properly on a loan. A few months later he got a hefty bill which was a total surprise to him. I hope they fixed that issue and since OC Formula had a free shipping it was not an issue anyhow. But I wonder what happens if you need to return it. So the consensus was that Affirm is legit company and yes, you can pay upfront without penalties but there is still some risk that things might go wrong.

I ended up getting AMD bundle for $1173 (7900x + 6950XT) - not the best price but was safer bet for me. I was also worried about some reviews about ASrock GPUs and their BS RMA process. Hopefully, your card will serve you well, it is a beast!

BTW just some benchmarks comparing 4080 and 6950 xt and I think we made the right choice.

As it should i would think. The 4080 is at best a 1K GPU.
