Always see mixed feedback. How reliable is this brand? Or which band is top in durability, reliability and quality?

My friend has one since 2016 and only changed graphics card works perfect. I had cyber power back In 2012 and basically lasted the same time before I went full upgrade

Thank you. Think I should wait untill 4080 comes down and we see them being built at the same prices?

How does this CPU compared to the Intel from the other thread?

Idk which thread but 7700x is perfect for gaming. Check out some vs reviews on YouTube and there's minimal difference. Also if ur going 4080 might as well get the 7900xtx but if u want nvidia wait for 4080

They use off the shelf components, same as you'd use if you were building a custom PC. They tend to use cheaper products, like lower end motherboards and graphic cards (for example, they'll use something like a gigabyte eagle card, but never an ASUS strix), but should be fine.

There were better deals before. There was an MSI PC with 12700k and 3080 ti for $1900 and $500 rebate a few days ago. So like $1400. It had a high end SFX power supply and like a $300 motherboard in it. That's obviously gone now

there were actually TWO different options:

full size PC:
https://slickdeals.net/f/16201087-msi-gaming-desktop-aegis-rs-12tf-254us-intel-core-i7-12th-gen-12700k-3-60ghz-16gb-ddr5-2tb-hdd-1-tb-m-2-nvme-ssd-nvidia-geforce-rtx-3080-ti-windows-11-home-64-bit-1550?v=1&src=SiteSearch

mITX/SFX PC (with the expensive motherboard):
https://slickdeals.net/f/16199404-msi-gaming-desktop-meg-trident-x-12vtf-249us-intel-core-i7-12th-gen-12700kf-16gb-ddr5-1-tb-pcie-ssd-nvidia-geforce-rtx-3080-ti-1549-99-after-400-rebate?v=1&src=SiteSearch

DDR5 memory on both btw, not DDR4. but i was wrong about the rebates, it wasn't $500 rebate. it was $300 and $400. total price was $1550 AR.

but even without the rebate still a good deal by today's standards

EDIT: the motherboard in that SFX PC is MSI MEG Z690I UNIFY, which still costs $400 new
