did a few quick calculations for calorie per dollar. The $10 25lb costco flour bags are 11x cheaper per calorie than this. im guessing air tight sealed, desiccated flour will last just as long as these would.
Flour is ground. It doesn't last anywhere near that long…

Always wondered if people that buy these would consume at some near future (without an actual disaster happening) OR strictly keep them stored for doomsday...

The eggs from the dormant, unhatched weevils will lay and make a meal out of that flour well before that shelf life. You'll be in for a surprise by the time you need to consume it.

just some ideas for budget minded preppers.
Even if it's in the short term storage wise, it's way cheaper to make your own preps as you suggested. And as long as you're rotating you'll be fine.
