The pictures aren't great but zooming in you can see rough edges and visible nails on the wood, which is bamboo--a porous wood. Doesn't look like it will clean well or last.

Don't run it through the dishwasher, or leave it soaking in the sink, and it should stay in good shape forever. Use a bit of mineral oil occasionally to keep the wood in top condition. It will out-last you.
