The M12 can occasionally be had on deals but still a good amount more $$ than this, and with less light output.
IMHO if you already have Kobalt batteries this light will solve any non-corded problems any of the above lights will solve, although being a little less compact.
If you don't already have Kobalt batteries then it's a tougher call.

I think you can 3d printer adapters for different batteries
Looks like it's available again through Christmas. Picked mine up last night and it's definitely a quality piece.
