Nothing to do with SMBv1. The My Cloud Home line of devices are not the same as the My Cloud line of devices. It uses a completely different operating system and has different features and options. That's why it doesn't support the My Cloud OS5 firmware. Many have discovered after the fact just how limited the My Cloud Home devices are when they moved from a My Cloud device to a My Cloud Home device. The My Cloud Home is not a true NAS.
