I'm surprised they haven't fixed this via firmware. (E.g. detect being disconnected for > 30 minutes and do a hard reset automatically)
2. Audio is good enough. I was able to monitor caregivers talking to my 92 year old grandma to prevent elderly abuse.
I ended up doing store pickup - v weird -- no discount at the Bronx store but discounted at the Manhattan stores and not discounted for shipping at home with a Manhattan address
For anyone that is thinking of jumping into the Wyze ecosystem keep in mind you'd want to purchase a good SD card for each camera if you don't like the subscription service idea (you get more out of SD setup IMO anyway). Also, the v3 is VERY well known to have weak antennas, so a good Wi-Fi mesh network will solve most problems with response time and connectivity. (Some folks will say theirs never have an issue with their whatever-brand router, however it's subjective…. My house is 3500+ sq feet with multiple obstacles… a mesh network was the ONLY way these would all work flawlessly.
That's all added cost, but this is an awesome deal regardless.

This however is a very good price and I'm in 2 minds.
I love-hate my wyze pan. The worst thing about it is it decides to randomly reboot. The last few times it's happened it's spooked my SO and thinks we're being watched.
micro center has the black version. more suitable for outdoor, for me at least, as i do not want people to know one is mounted kthere.
