Also what happened to the Lenovo post with the 3 refurbs? Did anybody catch that with the ideapad 5 pro?
Acer just can't release them as new and crash the marktet and the retailers.

Acer says "20 GB maximum" likely because it's the maximum they've tested and validated but there is no reason that a 32 GB stick wouldn't work, assuming it is within specs.
