Get headlight UV sealant/protectant in the automotive section. I use it on all my cheap solar panels and it prevents the cloud from happening in the first place and keeps it after you polish them
Edit: Code worked for me only on the Warm White, Thanks!
Got these exact lights one time when they were $5. It was this time of year, had to be 4 years ago. I wrapped them around a miniature Japanese maple tree along the sidewalk to my front door. It was a neat thing during the holidays. Holidays came and went and next thing you know springtime came and the leaves came out on the tree. There was no way I could remove the lights without destroying them and the tree. So I left them on there. All summer long, the lights came on each night. The neighbors and the kids began referring to it as the "jazzy bush." With lights wrapped around the limbs and leaves on top it made the lights appear to twinkle even more, it's actually cool to see. Four years later through all the hot and cold seasons, the snow and the rain, the flashing lights still come on at dusk.
I coat all these cheap solar based devices first with outdoor clear acrylic paint. It never frosts after that.
1 or 2 years and that solar will frost up and become unusable. It could be cleared again using nail polish remover, but it get frost back in hrs. I have not found a way to keep it clear.

$10 is a good price for 2 pack.

Yes, it's kind of a spray on lacquer, just make sure NOT to overspray as when it dries, it's hard as a rock and any drips will be permanent unless you re-sand it

Hey 👋🏻 i bought these they are awesome into my 2nd east coast year and had the same issue unfortunately these are not the highest quality solar leads sooo that being said i will give you what you need to do so you could extent the life of the system.. 1. High % isopropyl alcohol, clean paper towel wipe clean and remove oxidation 2. Air canister blow dust off 3. UV protection krylon clear coat spray paint spray 3 light coats 15 min apart.. i had the entire system wrapped around railings so i didnt even remove anything took a big panel of cardboard cut out square of panel, put over and then prayed to prevent over spray.. doesnt have to be perfectly sprayed i had a couple tiny bubbles or dust but i promise it works.. literally didnt have to worry about it after that after a couple months the fading happened and its been over a year since i did what i did and they still look stellar.. if i buy again i would spray them before installing brand new out the box.. hope this helps
