I am waiting on delivery of a Sapphire 11304-03-20G Pulse AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT. Was able to snag one on "sale" for $660 new.
The 6800xt has roughly 33 percent higher specs, but you will not notice a difference in FPS (at 1080p, 10 percent or less and both generally have higher frame rates than your monitor can display anyway) in gaming unless you are gaming in 4k. If you plan to game in 4k, then you will want the 6800xt, where the FPS is much better in the 6800xt and the frame rate is low enough that your display can keep up.

From the benchmarks im seeing, at 1440p 6800xt gets 20% higher framerate in most cases.
Thanks. My Phanteks P500 includes a bracket that's mounted behind the GPU. Do you think that would be strong enough? Then I could save a slot space if I ever need to use it.

True, there can be an advantage at 1440p as well, I see some games with significantly higher rates, but also some with similar rates, so it can be a little hit and miss, though. And there is still the issue of monitor refresh rates. Most monitors are using a 144-175Hz refresh rate, so any frame rate above that is going to be limited by the monitor anyway. Really, the point in building any computer system should be to not overspend on unnecessary things unless you are trying to reduce the need for future upgrades.
