Side note, get the cooling gel ear pads linked below for a huge comfort upgrade. These also make the ANC nub in the ear cups no longer make contact with your ears.

Is there anything very much like this from a brand that makes superb music quality headphones? Or maybe a standalone receiver that allows you to make a setup like this with "high end" pair of headphones ?
The sound quality and features of this Nova Pro package make it superior to all of these wireless headsets, especially if you dabble w the EQ a bit (theres easy tutorials out there if youre unfamiliar). Mind you, I got mine for $250.
The one exception in my above statement, the ($300 msrp) Audeze Penrose is actually the best sounding wireless headset Ive ever used. That said the wireless transmitter in my experience was the worst I've ever encountered. Id done every troubleshoot you could...to no avail. A far cry from my Steelseries excellent connection. People also complain its uncomfortable and plastic headband prone to crack. All headphones have flaws and risks...but with all this I can only recommend a Penrose with caution.
I should mention the Steelseries is known to cause some folks discomfort due to the ANC piece inside the ear cup. I didn't experience this, but still felt they were not as comfortable as my old Steelseries. I purchased wicked cushions cooling gel pads and now theyre perfect.
