I just bought 6 of these at $15. They are very bright and it is nice to have them turn on walking into the shop. I can't say how long they will last, but they work good for me.

Won't survive a child stepping on it, but it should be fine hanging on a ceiling where it should be in the first place.

I don't think it has holes for surface mount
It does. One of the pictures shows the instructions and it details out optional surface mount.

Thanks. I tried to make it big enough to read but I guess I need glasses. 😁

You mean other than the fact that the Costco item screws into an existing light bulb socket?
screw-in is can be an advantage for easier replacement, especially if the mounting surface is easily accessible

Any advantage of this type of light over multi-panel lights like this?
Point of reference: you can find those style (deformable) lights on Amazon for significantly cheaper. The last set i bought were $5/ each

The deformable lights are great for the fact that they will just screw into a standard socket. They're better as spotlights for fiddly up- close work

The shop lights in this listing are better for large-area coverage of an adequate but diffuse light. The linkable quality is especially nice if you have a larger area you want to be able to light entirely using a single switch

They both have good arguments in their favor for their specific best-usage cases

Are the bulbs replaceable?
Most likely not.

Read prop 65.
Its a blanket law, written poorly that if interpreted badly could apply to pretty much anything.
But again, dont take my word for it, read it.
I'm an environmental scientist and I agree with you. It really is that useless as far as consumer protection goes. It negatively impacts good environmental regulations and teaches people to ignore more important consumer information.

Hopefully the deal lasts long enough for me to find $25 worth of other Walmart deals. I just add it to my cart till I can get free shipping and half the time it's expired by the time I meet the threshold lol
Walmart is so weird. Tried to order something a couple of weeks ago and they were going to charge me for picking up . My girlfriend tried and they didn't charge her. This time I ordered 2 of these and no charge for picking up.

What parts could give it A CA proposition 65 warning?
LoL, all of them. CA Prop65 is such a joke because the way it's written, everything requires the warning.

Thanks OP. I bought one for $15 during the BF sale, but with a prorated discount from coupon code so I paid $12. Not worth rebuying and returning for the $2 difference. It is pretty good for $10 so I just bought another.

Does anyone know of a Walmart price tracker that works like CCC and Keepa do for Amazon?
Have chatted into Walmarts customer service a few times with same kind of thing and they price adjusted things on the spot and refunded the difference

How do they "link"?

Is it wireless or does one just simply plug into the next via the power wire?
There is a plug in each to allow them to be daisy-chained. There's actually an instruction pamphlet with full instructions as one of the images, although you've really got to zoom in to read it.

It should work without hanging it, I could mounted vertically against wall? What parts could give it A CA proposition 65 warning?Or does Walmart in particular just put the warning on everything, or is it because they often sell more cheaply made products that are more likely to have toxic elements?
I bought several of these from Costco and BJs and I think they are all the same stuff internally if so you can mount it vertically, horizontally, or off the chains.

However "Linkable" in the ones I got did not mean they turn on each other with 1 pull. I had tu turn them all on individually. I even paid $20 per light and they were only 4000 lumens.
