Ya sure, if the toy you wanted was 50% off you should have bought it. But you act like everything was 50% off when it was very minimal amount. Thousands my ass.
Some things are still 50% off right on top of the Circle Offer.
Edit: I researched. So gift card is apply before red card so this is total 10% off, a little better than using red card. If you have employee discount (you work for target), the gift card is applied after the discount. In both case, using gift card with 10% discount is always better. Me, Im gonna load up and wait for the lego set I like to go on sale to buy. Happy hunting.
If you have a credit card that offers 5% cash back on PayPal this quarter you can effectively buy Target gift cards at a 14.5% discount when they have this offer.
I agree, and thanks for posting this because the 50% off yesterday post is misleading some.
Here is the real breakdown with every sale everywhere.
They make sure they mix good items with bad items (or at least less desirable) for the sale. They know most people will try to take advantage of the sale, even if they are buying things they don't really want or need. They make sure if there is a free shipping for x spent you have to buy a filler 'bad' item to get it. A very small amount of people will literally just buy one thing they truly want or need, so they don't care about that.
The sales are completely designed to make you buy those extra things they have and really need to get rid of. These x off $ purchase is the best way for them to accomplish it, even if they sell some highly desirable toys at a higher than normal discount. If you tried, you will notice there is no way to get only AAA toys for the full 25% off, you will need to use some filler. Yes, of course, you can buy one big item and get the $25 off, but that item is not $100 exactly. Even with a xx% off coupon on a $150+ toy, they still are fine because it is still profitable for them and they got rid of inventory.
Bottom line, don't over think it too much and just run with any of this. You can always return or get a price adjustment.
