Available:About this book:
  • Cat's Cradle is Kurt Vonnegut's satirical commentary on modern man and his madness. An apocalyptic tale of this planet's ultimate fate, it features a midget as the protagonist, a complete, original theology created by a calypso singer, and a vision of the future that is at once blackly fatalistic and hilariously funny.

Great book. Then again, ALL Vonnegut is superb. Although my favorites are Mother Night, God Bless You Mr Rosewater, and Bluebeard. I would love to see more people discover his works.

'Theodore Sturgeon praised Cat's Cradle, describing its storyline as "appalling, hilarious, shocking, and infuriating", and concluded that "this is an annoying book and you must read it. And you better take it lightly, because if you don't you'll go off weeping and shoot yourself".'

My favorites are Sirens of Titan, Slapstick and Breakfast of Champions, but they are right and all his works are worthwhile.
