Lot of bundles now available directly on WD, especially for WD Blue series. Pair up a WD Blue NVMe or SATA SSD along with a WD Blue HDD. One of the best pairings I could find:
- WD Blue SN570 NVMe 1TB [westerndigital.com] 69.99 --> 59.50
- WD Blue 8TB HDD (WD80EAZZ, 5640 RPM, CMR) [westerndigital.com] 119.99 --> 102.00
- Total 161.50

SN570 1TB was also going for 69.99 during BF so this seems like a solid deal if you were planning to get both.

The SN570 NVMe drive benchmarks very well among all gen 3 SSDs, despite using HMB (no DRAM): https://www.techpowerup.com/revie...tb/17.html

Stack with cash back offers from your usual cash back plugins as well.

8 tb HDD is like adding a paper weight to the bundle.
If you don't need an HDD at all, sure. If someone wants a mix of cheap mass storage and a decent gaming/boot drive, it's 15% off. I mentioned the 8TB since there are a few other data hoarders here like me, and the 8TB model is CMR rather than the usual cheap SMR drives that are more common now.

Alternatively, you could spend $650 for something like an 8TB Samsung 870 QVO, but that seems a bit of a waste to me for mass storage.

Anyone going in on this should check the availability shown on the product page before ordering. The 8GB model (WD80EAZZ) is showing "Estimated Availability : 3 - 4 Weeks", for example.

I almost could use another 8GB drive. Gotta pass on this deal though, but thanks for the post.

If someone wants the NVME but not the HDD I'll split the bundle with you if we can make it work. Maybe not enough savings to make it worth the hassle, but I'm willing.

This is true. Or you could also use this to store 8tb of data. The only limits are your imagination.

Bought this exact 8tb HDD by itself last week when it was on sale for $110 on Amazon, and I received a lemon. Fingers crossed the replacement drive works out of the box.

This deal is average tbh. You're saving money, sure, though 15% off of the normal prices for each device — which themselves are reliable but mid — doesn't feel like a slick deal.

.

I'll still probably pick up a set for my recently purchased Dell Optiplex 5050 SFF.
Did you happen to see this specific bundle cheaper somewhere? I've been searching for and buying storage most of the year for multiple rigs. I haven't seen many deals on good, reliable CRM HDDs.

AFAIK, this is the lowest price I've ever seen for the 1TB WD Blue SN570 at 59.50. It recently hit $70 throughout BF/CM and was $80-100 earlier this year. The 2TB isn't much of a deal right now though since it was down to $135 during BF/CM. With the discount now, the 2TB still comes out to $136 so I figured the specific combo I listed might be of more interest. $136 doesn't seem too bad though, especially since other value TLC NVMe drives with good benchmarks are uncommon at this price point. You can also try the Kingston NV2, but it seems to have gotten mixed reviews lately after getting a glowing launch review from Techpowerup.

Just beware that WD shipping is not as fast as Amazon by any means. I place an order two weeks ago and website says its waiting to ship. I have a feeling it did ship and their website just doesnt update often. No email communications either.

That's unfortunate. Did they have a shipping delay notice noted?

Most recently, I ordered a 2TB wd blue sn570 from WD late on Cyber Monday. Shipping confirmation was Weds, and it arrived Friday. Probably a day faster for me than for some since I'm on the west coast and it shipped from CA.

My recent order was $135 with a 5% cash back offer from a certain well known plugin. So $128.25, in case it helps anyone looking for deals.

No, nothing. I ordered 2 2tb m.2's. I figured that it might have shipped and nothing was updated, you know how some companies are. Or with how they were pushing that model during a sale maybe some kind of backlog.

Sorry to hear that. Out of curiosity, which model did you get? If they take much longer, I'd try to finesse some free stuff or a coupon out of them for the delay. They were giving out a lot of free toys (WD shirts, USB drives) on BF for most storage purchases anyway.

2 of the SN850X 2tb. So like $360 something total I think. I am not in a hurry so I been letting it go, but might follow up Monday.
