Micro Center has been known to link credit cards, phone numbers, and emails, so don't be surprised if you're already in their system and this doesn't work for you.

I bought one of these for $20 last week in store. I was going to upgrade my old pc to give it to a friend. It is slower than the spinning drive it replaced. Not recommended as an OS drive. Not recommended in general actually.

I use this as a dedicated DVR Drive for OTA TV. Works well for that so far.

Didn't measure it, just took note of boot times with both drives. I'm sure it has to do with large and small file read speeds varying to a great degree. Also tested an Intel ssd that is like 10 years old and it was faster to boot Win10 as well.

Agreed. I suspect this user got a defective drive, or had some other issue. Even a cheap SSD should run circles around any mech drive.

Yeah, intel ssd is a pro 2500 from 2014. Wiki page says 540/490 for it if the wiki page is accurate. Wanted to upgrade it since it is only 80gb. Probably got a defective drive. Not worth the trip to return it.
