Be patient for a deal on this game - purchased used from GameFly for $30. Eventually it be $30 or lower from places like gamestop or etc

The game isn't even worth the free price I "paid" on my hacked Switch.

It really is. It's hard to control characters, whether a shot goes in or not is pretty random, and it's filled with the repetitive unskippable cut scenes. Play for a day, never pick up again...

I've played a couple dozen matches and don't think I've encountered a single unskippable cut scene.

Same here. My son played for an hour and never wanted to play it again. Difficult and confusing. Bad in every way. Basically threw money in the toilet.

That's sad to hear. I was excited when I saw the title. The game cube version was one of my favorite games ever.

I just meant the super-shot build up animation. You're right that's not a "cut scene". Very repetitive IMO, but power to those who enjoy!

Definitely try the demo if that's still available to download. I wasn't particularly interested in the game after playing that.
