I have one of these and it doesn't work very good. It's fine for large amounts of adhesive or caulk that doesn't need to be neat, but sucks at applying small beads that need to look nice. Also somehow blows the back out of the tubes a lot, I can't figure out why. It worked great for applying adhesive to paneling, but was impossible to use caulking edges in a bathroom. Also it's pretty large and awkward, doesn't fit a lot of places. I would not get it for kitchen/bathroom work.

That's why you use a corner of something to go over it and smooth it out? Have you never used caulk before?

I use it daily remodeling apartments, and have used it for about 35 years. I don't expect to get a magic perfect bead without some smoothing after applying it. But I can get pretty close to one with minimal or no smoothing using a manual caulk gun, not with this spastic monster.

I have one of these and it's a lifesaver if you have a lot of caulking to do or have weak hands.

Agree this is pretty much only good for landscape adhesive for retaining walls or paneling. Sucks for bathroom needs (it wasn't even good for caulking around the wall for pouring liquid backer board).
