300$ price shows when You log in using edu account.
I purchased it last week for 359$ but I've contacted Samsung and they will give me 59$ back.
Looks like it might be price mistake since white model is listed at 599 with 300$ discount.

Hard to imagine the 800 provides 25% better sound for the 25% increase in cost. My guess would be marginal sound. I thought I read some other SDer posting a comparison of the two on an old thread but I can't find it. The user basically said he kept the 700 because sound quality was marginal. This is still tempting for me because I like the white option and slim look but I was also hoping to connect an old Sonos Connect to the optical input so the lack of that might kill the deal for me.
