Lowest price per CCC. Cheaper than buying direct from Powerblock as they charge shipping

https://www.amazon.com/Power-Bloc...07YL1XKHK/

This is the non-expandable set, meaning plate increments are 5lb. You can also fine tune with the small 2x 2.5lb adder weights. Compared to the pro 50 expandable model, the plate increments are 10lb. Having previously owned the pro 50 expandable, I prefer this one because there is too much fumbling to do 5lb increments. If you want heavier weights, then dont get this 50 set, wait for a deal on the 50 expandable.

I bought this to keep at my desk at work. Was researching this model, pro 32 and the sport 24. I wanted a pro model as the coating on the plates will make less noise. Here's a good article which helps explain differences: https://www.kingofthegym.com/powe...-vs-sport/

The equivalent ones to these are the Personal Trainer variant that aren't rubber coated. I'm not sure if they sell those anymore. But the Sport versions of these don't have the adder weights which sucks.

looks like these are not expandable. id advise to get the expandable version because youll outgrow these especially when doing squats, farmer walks.

but you can buy these if you are a female or an old person since youll probably wont stack 70-90 lb in each arm

true these are not expandable, but they are very nice! these switch 5# increments faster than our expandables, but are indeed limited to 50# nice deal

I get the whole "they're not expandable" angle but there's still plenty you can do with the 50s. I have the Sport EXP up to 90 but I'm still thinking about a pair of 50s just for the faster 5lb switching. I'd prefer to have the Sport though but these are such a good price!

This is terrible advice. Bigger not always better. I had the expandable set thinking I'll outgrow it quickly. I never touched it because 10lb plate switching was too much of a nuisance.

These hold enough value that anyone who out grows then can sell and put that towards exp + stage 1/2

The 5lb switching is super nice compared to the EXP versions.

If you're curling, these will keep you busy for a few years before you max them out.

The ones you're talking about seem to be even cheaper?

While the elites are expandable and cheaper, those two columns on the top will limit your wrist mobility. That may or may not be a deal breaker for you.

Thanks. That makes sense. I was just responding to a comment that lamented the variation in the OP wasn't expandable by pointing out that the expandable version was also on sale, and for even less.

Debating selling my old expandable Elite 70lb set for these.
Pros: 5lb increments and can use a smaller stand. Thanks OP!

How do these compare to Boxflex 525. What's the advantage to either?
