One reviewer mentioned that this has a better docking system than the ps charger and it can be plugged into the ps5, seems like an overall upgrade as long as it charges normally.

Anyway, I just ordered from HP. Will have to see if it makes it for Christmas- says Limited Stock. Amazon is shipping after Christmas.

If I didn't have a stand yet and was in the market for one I would definitely consider this one because that is a nice little extra feature (assuming this otherwise works exactly the same as the official one).
I'm tempted to get these since you can just drop them upright. I have a $2 charger dock. Not sure about yours but mine has small proprietary adapters to the USB-c port, and you have to plug the controllers inverted. I have a 2-yr old who likes to mess with stuff. So have to remember to take the adapters off and put it back. It's kind of a pain to keep those things around, and I'm sure I'll lose those some day. But on the other hand, it was $2! Hell of a deal despite the negatives.
