Yes and no. Belgian is split into two varieties, and until fairly recently, what you call classic was still described as belgian on wafflemaker products, though it's also called American waffles.

But the smaller pockets are also Liege waffles, while the large pockets are Brussels. These are both Belgian waffles.

Belgian = super thick.

If you want the thin leggo waffle type, those are called Classic.

Good price, but damn that's a lot of kitchen real estate for the one thing it makes. It's almost double the price, but I would still prefer mine that stands upright when stored.

can someone recommend a waffle machine that uses a better nonstick surface? I was looking at the cast iron types but decided that they were too heavy.

This is a KitchenAid Pro Line Waffle Iron ripoff. If you're a waffle fan, go with the Kitchenaid. I've got two and they're worth every penny. Built like a battleship and they turn out fantastic waffles.
Kitchen aid makes waffle makers? I tried to look it up but couldn't find. Do they go by a different name instead of kitchen aid

Last summer I got a basic, barely-used, Belgian waffle iron for $5 at a garage sale and coincidentally used it tonight to make chicken and waffles. It's small and stores away easily unlike this behemoth which is nice since we only have waffles every few weeks or so, if that.

Is Bella Pro a good brand or a house brand like Magnolia?
bella is just cheap.... better name brands (if they make stuff anymore) proctor silex was one, hmmmm... waffle makers..... oster? hmmm... i feel like there was a big one but i don't remember but bare in mind sourcing and manufacture could have changed over the years

edit: looked up quick at whats available, hamilton beach was not the one i was thinking of but they seem to always make good budget kitchen appliances in the past.... but in my experience of seeing returns when working retail after high school i will say i never really saw oster/hamilton beach products come back due to defective

bella came in later but man... always saw those in returns/ cuisinart seems to be everywhere but no idea where they came from or how late they popped up, don't remember seeing them until after 2010 in stores

There's nothing 'pro' about Bella Pro…well maybe it's pro at making unevenly cooked waffles and breaking after a few months use. The Cuisinart branded one has been pretty solid for me these 2 years.

I really enjoy my Bella waffle maker. Mine looks a little different than this one. Also, mine is dishwasher safe, at least the part that actually holds the batter.

They sent me an air fryer instead of the waffle maker. Ordered through the ebay link. Already sent a message to them in ebay but no response. Has anyone had to deal with ebay best buy returns before?
