Welp, should have read the comments before I pulled the trigger...I too remember when Spyder was the brand to buy for skiers.... Never had much for snowboarding apparel so I never looked too closely for myself. Thought this was a steal.

This comment tends to be true. Trying to outfit 4 kids (and my wife and I) for skiing the last 10+ years, I've purchased a decent amount of Spyder gear from different sources. Spyder gear from Costco and Woot are not the same as directly from Spyder's website. Big box Spyder is feature stripped and inferior materials. There is a substantial cost difference but if you wait for one of Spyder's sales on their website, there are usually some deals to be found. HOLIDAY50 right now. I personally love Helly Hanson but it's expensive and my kids say their designs are too boring/plain. Stay away from Obermeyer, broken zippers galore on two suits we got.

That didn't seem to work out. Authentic Brands recently transferred the brand to a startup, Liberated Brands, which is now licensing the brand to every manufacturer of junk imaginable. Short term play for anyone who remembers the brand from when it meant something.

Fooled by Spyder via Woot. Won't fool me again. These are definitely low quality compared to direct from spyder.com
