Not as cheap as the slightly better 4 pack with apple homekit (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B14C719T), but tied the 3 Cs for lowest ever if you only want one like me.

I bought 4 packs of the 4 count cheaper version. I don't need apple homekit. Just wondering why is it more expensive?

If you just want a plain on/off smart plug, there are cheaper options. This one has energy monitoring, which is why it's more expensive.

It's rated for 15A/1800W.

One really nice thing with these is that they can be used 100% local out of the box if you want. No flashing a special firmware, and no cloud/internet required unless you want those features.

They integrate well with Home Assistant and they give you visibility into whether the device is actually on, as opposed to just whether the plug is providing power to the device. For example, you can use the energy monitoring feature to have triggers for when your non-smart clothes washer turns on or completes a load.
