What does "effective refresh rate" mean in this context?
" 120hz effective refresh rate, 60hz panel refresh rate for smooth motion, even in the most action-packed scenes"

It's one thing for Walmart to say 120Hz in the title of their product page, but why the OP put it in theirs, is beyond me.

This has 60 Hz native refresh. And just like 98% of other 60Hz TV's currently being produced, they use software to simulate the higher refresh rate.

I'd rather rummage around to see if I could find an Insignia F50 for $430 new. They are getting hard to find.

The other threads are for prices between $200 and $300 but are not for QLEDs.

The negative reviews about ONN customer service are enlightening.

Sorry it was beyond you of why I put it there. I copied it off their page.

I gor this TV for this price last week, and I have been testing it since then. I decided to get a Hisense U8H as well to see what you get by twice the price.

Still waiting on the Hisense, but HDR content on YouTube looks great on the ONN, black levels are great with good detail.. However, dolby vision on Disney and HBO streaming lacks depth and contrast, and 1080 and upscaling is just okay. I dont see much motion smoothing on sports with the effective 120 rate. It looks like 60hz in my opinion.

Just an update on the Hisense. I got the U8H today and with minimum set up I am blown away. The difference in contrast and brightness is amazing. Everything looks better on the Hisense. Dolby Vision streaming from HBOMAX and Disney is spectacular on the Hisense compared to the ONN. If you have the money get the U8H or perhaps the 7H or 6H (I have not seen those). I am returning the ONN tomorrow.

Earlier today, availability in South Florida was limited to a random store. All of a sudden it's available for free shipping. The pipeline is filling.
