Home depot 50' for 13.88 is a better deal IMO.

Just an FYI….I ordered (2) of these and my local Walmart didn't have these 25 foot ones in stock and instead they substituted them with the 50 foot ones for $1 more……YMMV……

Is this much of a deal when there is stuff like this available on Amazon for about a buck more?

Maybe a better price, but apples to oranges.

More like Green Apple vs Red Apple to me. laugh out loud

$10 / 25ft = 0.4 $/ft

$14 / 50ft = 0.28 $/ft

For 16AWG shouldn't go very long but imo 50ft is reasonable. Can use long cable when you don't need the extra length but you cannot use short cable when it doesn't reach where you need. The extra length doesn't hurt as much, but too short just doesn't work.

Check the power ratings of the device. 16ga is good for 10a or so, at 120v that's 1200w. I probably wouldn't run more than 1100w because there is no fuse in this and the circuit breaker is likely 15a or 20a and not actually 10a so it won't protect the wire from melting.

Got one of these for some LED lights outside and the plug is a little loose. My light spades wiggle just a tad and they are basically hanging straight down into the extension socket from the wall. Should I worry about water getting in? Maybe cover the area where they connect with tape? Not sure how sensitive these are and it's my first time having something plugged in outdoors

Is this even a good deal? If you think it is, the candy cane color is $1 cheaper and is also 16 AWG Outdoor 25ft: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Hyper-.../509335962

This is actually the standard price for the same cord at harbor freight. Also note which one of these is a better deal depends heavily on what you're doing with it. If you're moving any kind of amperage like a portable space heater. The 25 is a benefit over the 50 as you can continually push 10 amps through it without killing it. I've tried that with a 50 before. They get hot. It then dawns on you that a 14-3 would be a better chord for that purpose
