According to your source, it also costs as much as $3.5 million in up front costs to open a Popeyes franchise, and this DOES NOT include real estate costs which can be substantial. Given those up front costs along with the risks involved in operating the business, $450,000 a year in net profit is a very reasonable return. Some might argue it's actually a little low.

I went today. Pretty damn good even for the extra buck. My store served the chicken fresh and warm and sides were fresh too. Don't purchase the 25 cent hot sauce online because it free in the store. I looked for the sub of a second breast for a wing but didnt see it. Maybe it depends on location

Here is how you order it. 2 pieces white classic not spicy. Get 2 packets of hot sauce and 2 packets of honey to flavor the chicken. 3 to 4 packets of jelly for the biscuit. Get the 2 best sides which are Cole slaw and mashed potatoes. Mic drop.

The chicken is great...but wut is unexcusable are the tiny sides! You get 2 spoons before it's gone! WTF? It should be finger fukken free!

I got sick of that, so when they hand me my order, I just ask for the sauce. They will be stingy and give you 1 or if youre lucky 2, But yeah, popeyes pricing is awful, I dont know how anyone pays menu price. KFC is just as bad but tastes worse, all fast food is expensive now unless you order carefully. And again, this is just chicken, which is extremely cheap. Lidl drumsticks are $0.80/lb but I dont want to deep fry at home.
