Audio-Technica Audio-Technica AT2005USB/XLR Cardioid Dynamic USB Microphone with ATH-M20X Headphones, Knox Gear Mic Stand, Knox Gear Shock Mount and Knox Gear Pop Filter for $75.99 after signing up for emails from FocusCamera and receiving 5% off coupon (New subscribers only - also enters you into a FocusCamera giveaway). Normal price shows as $79.99, so it's not a fire hot deal by itself, but might still be better than the $45 (w/coupon) deal posted several days ago, depending on what you need and your budget. $45 deal does not come with any accessories.
Stack that with the Chase Freedom quarterly 5% cashback deal of for using PayPal at checkout to sweeten the deal. FREE standard shipping was included.
I also had a $5 reward through PayPal for being a recent new user and hitting a goal (YMMV). So before tax, I paid $70.99 and will be getting 5% cashback.
I'm not a huge audiophile. I do have a pair of Audio Technica M50's, which I love for music. They also sound great for gaming, but of course I'm lacking a microphone. My last gaming headset just broke, which is why I was on the hunt for something that could at least pass for gaming purposes and I wanted to separate the mic and headphones. Keep in mind that this equipment is considered entry-level. I don't expect the ATH-M20X's to sound nearly as good as my ATH-M50's, but I imagine they'll at least be on par with many gaming headsets under $100 with some EQ tuning. And the AT2005USB will sound better than just about any attached microphone on gaming headset.
