Wow, this is nice and cheap. Only if I were 10 years younger with better eyesight. I currently use a 43" 4k Samsung TV that I got form Costco on BF about 4-5 years ago for $299. It works great as my work-from-home monitor. I actually like it better than my 49" 5000x1444 or something monitor at work. But I tried playing games on it for the first time the other day, and that 25-30 ms response time is horrid. I'm getting motion sickness. This would be equivalent to 1080p on a 16" screen, which would be eye straining, at least at my age. I remember all the older engineers commenting about how small everything was when I had my 15" Dell laptop set at 1920x1200.

Same here. I have TCL 43S425 ($150 on BF 2019) hooked up as my WFH setup monitor which is similar to my 2X2 four 22" FHD monitor setup in the office where I haven't been for almost 3 years. I also like my home setup better than my work setup.
I keep getting excited about these 32" 4k UHD deals but looking at 15.6" FHD screens on my large Chromebook or my Windows laptop without upscaling of the fonts etc. gives my an eyestrain after a while.
I will splurge on Samsung 43" 4k monitor eventually but not for a while. Bestbuy has 43" M7 open-box excellent for $333 which is within my price range. I just simply can't justify getting rid off my TCL that works just fine.

If I'm purely using my tv as a wfh monitor, and no games or even movies, what features should i look for in buying the best bang for buck tv/monitor? I'd love to buy a huge tv for wfh purposes, like 50"+ but dont want to spent much money (lets say $500 absolute maximum but cheaper the better) coz, ya know, it's only for working on!

Thanks, I'd appreciate any input!
Honestly, anything bigger than 43" would feel uncomfortable to me - I think that 43" is already pushing it. I am sitting 2.5 - 3 feet away from the screen (I use a keyboard tray mounted to the bottom of my desk). Even at that distance I have to move my head slightly when I looking at portions of the screen around the edges/corners. But it might feel different for you.
I did quite a bit research in 2019 to make sure that 43" cheapo 4th series 4k TCL would work as a monitor. I think it was about being able to display 4k at 60Hz and figuring out how to enable it.
Can anyone who owns the monitor let me know how this fares as a gaming/work from home Monitor? I don't need a high end gaming monitor...just something to play games on once in a while
Does it have tons of glare?
