I agree but i think many people share their service with friends or family and split the cost. If you have reliable friends thats the way to do it.

I was a subscriber. Then it dawned on me 95% of the content I wanted was going to be on Hulu or Netflix, if not at the same time, then not long after. Figured I would give Sling a try just in case of missing something. Buggy interface, rarely recorded anything. 1 or 2 shows. Shows I could "buy" on Vudu for less than half. The cable format is a relic. And even if you had some hope for good content to appear, the channels are slashing budgets even as they demand more money. So Nope. They are putting faith in autopay customers who won't notice.

Promo code invalid if you have subscribed to YouTube TV before. Only seems to work with a new email account or for new subscribers who have not signed up for YouTube TV previously.

I tried youtube tv, way too much money for such little actual value.

Not even worth it for me if this was the regular price.

I would like an affordable subscription for MSNBC but that's because the news is the only thing I need in a timely fashion, everything else is better on demand when you can find something you like and binge watch at your leisure.

Cable really is a dying format.

I have YouTube TV and really enjoy it. I watch sports but nothing live. I am magnificent at avoiding results. The YouTube TV format of taping everything allows me to watch at my leisure. For example, right now I am watching Argentina vs. Poland in the World Cup. I realize this match was nearly a week ago but I have no idea who won or which teams advanced from the group. I'll finish group stage in a couple of days.

Right now 0-0 after 18 minutes

I wish YouTube TV had more $20 off promotions for current customers. They had it recently on one credit card after another but they were all bunched within the same 45 day window.

Very true. Similar to Travel Channel having nothing to do with travel, but almost all UFOs, aliens, and ghosts.

But History Channel does have some real and well done history (though not that often). "The Men Who Built America" series for example, and similar were excellent. I'm surprised YouTube doesn't include it.

MSNBC is the only channel I wish I could buy a tv subscription to.
