Buying it from Amazon is a pretty good indicator that it's counterfeit. You can also run a speed test with CrystalDiskMark. Samsung should come close to advertised speeds. Finally, test the capacity by copying large files on and back off it.

Last time I got a 64gb from Amazon, it was a counterfeit. How do I know? Because it is so slow. It was only 30MB per second when transferring large video file and was only 500KB per second on small files. I was expecting at least 90MB per second on large files.

there are two things I never buy from Amazon regardless of who the seller is even if it's "shipped directly from Aamzon" :

- SD / Memory cards
- Pokemon Cards

It's not because I don't know better, it's just that I live in the boonies with nothing but a Walmart and a computer store who scalps video cards on eBay (and is a jerk in general). Amazon ships here quickly, so I risk it, though it's been a while since I've done that with memory. It's just not worth the time and effort.

oooohhhh ok. lol I was referring to counterfeit memory cards and or collectible cards. Amazon is notorious for not checking their inventory. Sometimes people get counterfeit SD Cards like Sandisk Cards or even USB Flash Drives like this Samsung.

That's may not nearly be enough information to assume a product is counterfeit.
