Because this card is run as credit, you can likely purchase other GCs with it. I have been successful at Lowe's doing this with Happy cards and redeeming for Amazon GCs, but you don't want to show or tell the cashier that you're using a gift card to pay. YMMV

No. You're paying $50 and getting $60. So you're paying 83% and getting 17% free. If it was $40 for a $50 gift card that would be 20% off.

Because this card is run as credit, you can likely purchase other GCs with it. I have been successful at Lowe's doing this with Happy cards and redeeming for Amazon GCs, but you don't want to show or tell the cashier that you're using a gift card to pay. YMMV

Is this particular gift card from the giftcardrebate.com site like some of the others that are on promo right now at Kroger? I've seen that site has horrible reviews.

Would you happen to know if it is the case with Safeway/Albertson's gift cards as well? They also run as credit

Why would a cashier making $15 an hour care what card you use ?

Looks like physical card. I've purchased eGift Cards from them last week and the cart description will say eGift Card.
