Hades is a great game and this is a good price for it.
Though not for everyone I hear. I myself almost put the game down after I heard you "restart" every time you die. I was convinced to keep going and now I'm 100+ runs in.
I've been playing Valheim for ~2 months now and I'm completely addicted. A couple friends and I have a dedicated server and we just beat the 5th boss tonight. Definitely worth a glance if you like open world/survival/crafting games. I'd say this is similar to Ark or Raft.

I dunno, I've never liked the frustration/repetition inherent in roguelites, and I could not put Hades down even after I finished the main story. It was a ton of fun, the visuals and music are great, and the voice actors made the characters real.
Valheim is a great team survival game. They just dropped a huge update which includes a new mistlands biome, new enemies and craftable items. Highly recommend picking this one up.
They also recently introduced cross play and it is included with game pass.
Hades is a very well known and well regarded rogue lite. This is a good price for it so if you even have a passing interest I'd say go for it.
Valheim is lesser known, but it is amazingly fun. I sunk so many hours into this with friends and as another commenter mentioned there was just a huge update released that was about a year in the making. Huge thumbs up on Valheim.
It's a nice break from the more competitive FPS games I like to play. Chill and fun with friends. Help each other or turn off friendly fire and duke it out.
Hades is fantastic! While you do "die" each run, that is how the type of game it is works — it is a roguelike (/roguelite) where you basically level things up between runs, and the map(s)/dungeon(s) are generated randomly for each run. Until you die you gather resources (simple example: some sort of currency) and after you die you have access to shop(s) to level various aspects up for the next runs. Some of the things you spend the different things you gather on are permanent, while some are temporary just for the next run.
While this is not new, the way Hades does it is in a class of its own, I can't recommend it enough.
Also note, if you have GamePass on Xbox/Windows, it is currently included on both console and PC.

It's the best $12.50 gamble I can imagine!

1) Yes. 2) No.

It looks like crap (like a higher end Minecraft or something) and it doesn't control well…
Is the steam version 4k?
