Own the 4850 model & has paid for itself a few times over already in these FL hurricanes/storms. Would be nice to have a bit more 'head-room' on the voltage front (I only have a few needed rooms on the panel w/ the transfer switch). Keep a battery tender on it & she cranks easily enough on either of the go-go juices.
Only PITA has been changing the oil (gets everywhere as the a bar on the frame is RIGHT below the oil plug)
I use one of these to drain small engines.
Never spill a drop anymore.

no, you need compatible inverter generators for that.
ps. I highly recommend this generator. I had the XP4850 for 2 years (bought at $280 in ~2017) and it's a champ. ran my whole house for the most part. sold it for $500 during blackouts and bought the XP10000 for that same $500 since this one would stall a little with my pumps. also, to preempt the THD complainers, you'll have no problem with anything, it's fine (though sometimes runs up to 63hz under low load)
dual fuel and electro start and 240v -- you're all set.
