I was lucky enough(I guess) to get an invitation on Nov 15th launch day, I ordered on for my son. This thing better be super awesome amazing, it cost me more than the PS5 disk, which is insane considering this thing isn't even stand alone... unless it is awesome. It also better have a huge ecosystem of games/apps if it wants to compete with the likes of Quest 2/Index/etc. I am still doubting the choice, this is like our 8th VR headset.

This was posted on launch day too, 11/15. This has been available since then as well.

I think this is even less of a deal considering they have not sold out after 3 weeks or so now? So wide availability..

I myself am going to cancel my order..I just don't need it.

I just recieved the invite.
My invite said can pre order from now until February 22nd. Or until supplies last.
Does that mean I can sign in like after Christmas and still order one if they have any more? I don't want to do it right now.

I know right? That's what I'm waiting for before buying, at least I'm waiting for a confirm mod from the modding community before buying. I also got invitation, debating should I buy one now as there doesn't seem to have games I wanted to play yet.

Fyi, the preorder may not even ping your bank account until about a week before shipping. The page says it verifies payment now and then a week before but I'm not sure about that. I was in on the first round of the preorders and never saw the pending charge show up at all. So it seems to be relatively risk free to preorder now and decide later.
