PreSonus AudioBox 96 Studio 25th Anniversary Edition

Start recording today with this complete package, the PreSonus AudioBox 96 Studio 25th Anniversary Edition! Based on the AudioBox USB 96 audio/MIDI interface and award-winning Studio One recording and production software, PreSonus AudioBox 96 Studio is great for creating multitrack recordings, demos, live recordings, podcasts, field recordings for video and sound effects, and much more.
Audio/MIDI Interface

The AudioBox USB 96 is the heart of the AudioBox 96 Studio. This simple, handy little audio/MIDI interface has just the right features for basic recording needs, including two combo mic/instrument inputs and zero-latency monitoring, so you can simply plug in and start recording right away. Bus-powered, built to travel, compatible with most recording software for Mac and Windows, and equipped with high-performance microphone preamplifiers and professional-quality, 24-bit, 96 kHz converters, the AudioBox USB 96 makes high-definition recording easy.

M7 Condenser Microphone

Get your mic collection off to a good start with the M7 large-diaphragm condenser microphone. Condenser mics are the overwhelming choice of recording studio professionals, enabling you to capture musical details, harmonics, and subtle nuances that would get lost with dynamic mics. Large-diaphragm condenser microphones, like the M7, tend to warm up a sound, making them the go-to microphone for recording vocals and a wide range of instruments.
HD7 Professional Headphones

PreSonus high-definition HD7 headphones take advantage of a patented, semi-open sound chamber to deliver exceptionally deep low frequencies with a balanced and yet powerful bass punch. Accurate midrange and extended treble response let you pick out the fine details of a mix or track. The lightweight, ergonomic design adjusts to any head size, offering a comfortable listening experience during long recording sessions.

Is the code only good for this bundle? I need the interface but already have an AT2020 mic and decent pair of headphones

Don't get a bundle, get a good interface since you already have a good mic and decent headphones. I suggest focusrite scarlett solo/2i2 or audient evo 4.

You're right. I actually canceled my order. Heard too many so so reviews about the audiobox 96 and I really want my recordings to be solid.

I may settle for a behringer umc 204 if I cant get the Yamaha ag06 or scarlett 2i2 for less than $100

How is this as a starter kit? And then piece by piece I can upgrade as needed? Something for Zoom calls and perhaps a podcast?

This is overkill for both. You can use a $20 usb mic for zoom calls or a podcast. https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=600202 I have this mic for video conferencing and friends say the quality is spectacular. I can even hold it up to my AKG speaker and they say the music is high fidelity compared to anyone else. Just food for thought.

This is for recording high fidelity music through a microphone or instrument and interfacing it to your computer so you can use a digital audio workstation (daw) to record, produce, mix, master, etc. Not saying you should not purchase it, but for podcasting and zoom calls it's like using a space shuttle to go to your mailbox

Good point. Thanks.

But I'd rather over-spend than under. I might use it for some music recording if that's possible.

What I didn't want was to spend $100 for what is closer to $50 worth of quality.

The headphones and mic included in this kit actually both retail for around $65.

Those sound like decent smaller units. Was hoping Focus had some heavy hitters like the SSL+ or Motu M6 on sale -but nope.

If you want pro recordings I mix and master even can make a $20 Gaming mic sound like a studio mic. I use a USB blue yeti and own a at2020 a shuresm7b and many more email me at [email protected] Ask for vocal presets you don't need all that gear trust me. I only charge 35 per song 100 for 10 songs.

I am the plug.

Lemme hear some mixes first then I'll know...

I tried a blue Yeti and when I moved to the AT2020 it made a world of difference and that's with plug-ins.

Show me what you got.
