Make sure you are signing up for Home Internet Unlimited and NOT Home Internet Lite. Home Internet Lite does not get the promo.

From CNET article: "Those interested in T-Mobile Home Internet can enter their address at the carrier's website to see if it is available in your area. If you have multiple lines on your account, such as a family plan where not everyone still lives together, the carrier confirms to CNET that you could activate multiple T-Mobile Home Internet lines at the discounted $25 promo rate, so long as the addresses are eligible for the Home Internet service."

After earlier telling CNET that multiple lines on an account could sign up for the offer -- such as a family plan where not everyone still lives together -- the carrier said on Wednesday that the deal will be limited to one Home Internet line per account.

Tried to order online, it still says $50 after $5 autopay. Why it is not showing $25?

#############################################################################################################################

Per T-mobile Customer service it will not show the $25 dollar nor the promo if you order online but as long as you order during the promotion period it will automatically get added to your account. User dishguy confirmed that indeed it worked, I included his post below for reference . Alternatively you can call, chat, go to a store, or reach out to T-Force on Twitter or Facebook to get them to place the order for you.

Good luck.

Quote from dishguy :
I'm on simple choice. This is what shows in my account

Plan
T-Mobile Home Internet $25.00/mo
Plus taxes and fees

Applied discounts and promotions:
$5 of AutoPay Discount
$25 of 2022 HINT P22

I added it online by myself.

Quote from dishguy :
The plan and discount showed up after the device shipped. I ordered on 12/8. Device shipped 12/10. I got a text that the unit shipped. When I went in my online acct it was showing up. The first sentence of my previous post says what plan I have.

Not sure why this was removed but - FYI -

For those that care;

The modem/router that comes with home internet service has
a built-in GPS receiver and antenna, and sends your GPS location back to T-Mo at regular intervals and presumably they can request it anytime.

Not that I know of, the "Trash can" they provide is very resistant to Bridge Mode and does not support it. There may be a workaround but I haven't heard of one.

True story bro, No BRIDGE MODE = F this Sh*T!

The lack of a dedicated public IP seems to be its achilles' heel.

Tailscale is super easy to set up and works fine
12-09-2022 at 10:38 PM
Zerotier is free, unlike tailscale and is super easy to setup for personal use. Watch a youtube video can be online in two minutes.

Can we set this up as a Hotspot in the SUV without a data cap?
12-07-2022 at 09:41 PM
I think there's a line in TOS that states that the device must be used at the specified address, otherwise the service can be terminated or fined, I don't remember

I activated the $20.00 unlimited talk and text plan on a BYOD IMEI. My price reflects $25.00 for the home internet now.

I just took my t-mobile phone around the house and did test on it through https://www.speedtest.net/ . it helps you find the optimal position and the internet speeds you can expect
12-08-2022 at 12:48 PM
Best way to see your speed is to do a 15 day test drive they offer. That's what I did a few months ago. It depends on your location a lot and how far you are from the tower. Also if you have 5G or 5G UC. I've seen speeds up to 640 down and 80 up. Now during congestion it went all the way down to 60-70 down and 80 up.

They also recommend placing their unit by window. I did test that and when it was on the window sill, I achieved best speed vs, placing it on TV console or somewhere on the table away from the window.

I have the wifi radio disabled on the gateway router and hooked it up to an external router (We use TP-Link AX1800 WiFi 6)

Only one drop in the 3 months of usage and speeds up to 400+ mbps. I think its worth trying the settings when you get it. https://www.youtube.com/@NaterTater makes great videos on these topics
12-14-2022 at 04:02 PM
A rough estimate is to test your phone speed in the exact spot you wish to get/receive your your wifi... Cut that number in half and that's the peak you should generally be looking for, because tower congestion and and other factors can effect your signal power at any time anything else is gravy.....

I took a test drive but they haven't deployed 5g in my exact area even yet... still only LTE, there was no fee for the equipment unless I didn't return it.

they have a 15-day "test drive" period as well, so if you don't like it, cancel within 15 days and you're good to go. that's more than enough time for you to find out if the service is right for you.

but also, to answer your question, no - they had a clause that you can't make changes (termination of other lines) to the plan within a year of adding the free Line. They haven't offered a free line in over a year, so you should be well beyond the clause.
12-08-2022 at 12:30 PM
I have a BOGO line signed up early this year and I tried this for 15 days. I cancelled on the last day of trial and got my next months bill. So far my promos haven't drop. Not sure if this internet is considered a "voice line" as it has a mobile number attached to it.

Not for me. Spent an hour on T-Force chat, transferred me to Legacy Sprint support and no go. To qualify you have to have a voice line on T-Mobile native billing system.
12-12-2022 at 09:41 PM
Same here. Went to 2 stores and tforce. Only works if your account was migrated to T Mobile. If it hasn't yet they have to force migrate u which means you lose your sprint legacy account.

Great price but most of the reviews state it isnt consistant speeds and has frequent drops.

I wonder if this is portable as long as you have an oulet for power?
I had this from its inception, originally it wasn't too bad-as time went on the signal got worse and buffered like nuts, 3 TV's a pc and phone. I finally gave up after 7 months and terrible to non-existent customer service. The price is definitely tempting, btw, their newer modem was worst than their first, I had a pc fan underneath to cool it down, no difference.
If true it's a no brainer. I have the service. You can expect 100mbs-300mbs. Down time nonexistent.

I could get behind this as a backup option to my current FiOS setup, or maybe find a way to multiplex the connections.
