Great price but most of the reviews state it isnt consistant speeds and has frequent drops.

I wonder if this is portable as long as you have an oulet for power?
I had this from its inception, originally it wasn't too bad-as time went on the signal got worse and buffered like nuts, 3 TV's a pc and phone. I finally gave up after 7 months and terrible to non-existent customer service. The price is definitely tempting, btw, their newer modem was worst than their first, I had a pc fan underneath to cool it down, no difference.
If true it's a no brainer. I have the service. You can expect 100mbs-300mbs. Down time nonexistent.

If anyone wants more information bout Home Internet, here's a good read.

T-Mobile.com/OpenInternet

Also to note, Home Internet, gets lowest priority on their towers especially when it's congestive at night.
I've had their internet 2 months ago for a few weeks, during the day and up until about 7pm you see speeds anywhere between 550-750
Closer to 9, they drop to about 300's which is still not bad, but some days I've seen it as low as 50-70 in the evening. At that point if you have a lot of devices at home that require internet connection, it becomes unusable.
A good restart of the Tmobile tower helps a bit but it got annoying to do it every other night.

Just got rejected for One plan on chat - they said Magenta/Magenta Max only. Going to have to call in like a savage in 1999.
It seems does not apply for every plan. I am on Simple Choice and after adding to cart the price still stays 50 (see page 41).

So, for a year I've contemplated trying it.

I've checked multiple times if it's available in my neighborhood. ALWAYS GETTING A "CONGRATS, YOURE ELIGIBILE".

Now today the rep says it's not available here. Then I did the checker myself...today I'm not eligible.

TWO DAYS AGO when I saw this deal I was eligible!

I think they have narrowed it down to certain people!

Me too. Nothing says F You to customers, like screwing them for being loyal for over a decade...

A rep I am chatting with says that it is $55/mo without autopay and there should be a bill credit of $25/mo as long as you keep the voice lines of the plan + TMHI line active. So $30/mo without autopay and $25 w/autopay.

Same thing here. House was eligible 2 days ago and today it is not.
Have great 5GUC here as well.
You notice after you enter your address, the current account phone number (which shows plan eligibility) is also required. I'm sure if it was Magenta Max then it would show eligible.

TForce said on chat that I can't apply it to the HSI line I opened less than two weeks ago, but I could get it for a family member on my plan.

Did anyone see the discount at checkout? I only see the Magenta Max discount, but TForce said the full discount would be applied within 1-2 billing cycles.

2 cat, 1 usb c, 1 usb c for power, 1 sim card slot. No port forwarding. 4 SSID max. 2.5ghz/5ghz, wpa/wpa2/wpa3 combo, put near window.
could it give ethernet handoff to a traditional firewall and have the built in wifi disabled?

I suppose, nevermind. I put my phone and address in and it says not available in my area.

For kicks I tried TMobile business to see if it was an option and wouldn't you know it is available in my area. Calling bull there. You either have the tower or you don't T-Mobile.

I'm also on simple choice plan and chat said my plan is not eligible. She said max plan is eligible.

Also, I asked how long the promo will last and they currently have no end date.

And they also said T-mobile is working on promotions for me (I guess simple choice customers) and they will let me know when they are available…whatever that means.

If you're an existing home internet customer they can't give you the offer. I told the rep well I'll just cut it off and go back to spectrum. Her response was it will still cost you more money and I told her yes that's fine it's the principle.

The irony.

So by wanting to pay less you are agreeing to pay more…

From what I can see over here the CS has no idea about this plan. They just try to apply $20 discount to Magenta and $5 w/auto pay. But this one is not the same like a regular $50 one. Isn't it?

I just called in and ordered, phone rep says all existing customers are eligible. Hopefully they actually know what they're talking about! You might have to call like it's 1999 Smilie

Just signed up for the $25 plan by calling T-Mobile.

Also, I'll get a $100 card if I stay with the service for at least two months and Paramount + for a year.
I got the same deal through chat as well. I'm on T-Mobile/Sprint TI Unlimited Kickstart plan.
