Great price but most of the reviews state it isnt consistant speeds and has frequent drops.

I wonder if this is portable as long as you have an oulet for power?
I had this from its inception, originally it wasn't too bad-as time went on the signal got worse and buffered like nuts, 3 TV's a pc and phone. I finally gave up after 7 months and terrible to non-existent customer service. The price is definitely tempting, btw, their newer modem was worst than their first, I had a pc fan underneath to cool it down, no difference.
If true it's a no brainer. I have the service. You can expect 100mbs-300mbs. Down time nonexistent.

I see the $25 home internet offer on their webpage. When I click and search, service is available at my address but it doesn't reflect the promotion and says $55 per month. I have a simple choice plan and never had home internet with them, so I should qualify. Does the credit get applied later?
U should do it via live chat, it worked for me that way. I had the same issue when I tried doing it online

I wouldn't do that. That is a bad decision to get an internet service. They told you that there is no service at your area, that means no equipment is installed at your area.
That's not true. It has more to do with local tower capacity. I had the service before but if I put in my address now it says not available.

That is not what it means. But, he asked for a workaround. Plus he has 15 days to try it out for free, technically 4 months if you count the $100 rebate.

I've had TMO 5G home internet for over a year. With exception of 2 outages, I've consistently had over 400Gbps.

This is awful advice. My in-laws in BFE were not "covered" by Tmo's Home Internet Service, however, it was available at my house. I ordered it for my house, took the router to their house and it worked fine.

Since they didn't even have DSL available to them, and I was already using 2 SIMs per month to cover their internet usage (this was prior to the Tmo $10 business tablet plan, and I didn't want to risk service with the $20 ATT iPad plan), this was a much better option for them. Unlimited data, although de-prioritized, is better than 20gb/mo. It has been working fine for them for more than a year.

The only thing I WOULD say is don't cancel any existing service, just order the Tmo service, see if it works for you, and if it does, THEN cancel.
Exactly

Probably the main line which is tied to the account owner.

This deal does not require a new line if you already have an existing voice line. The Terms of the promo are posted on the first page of the thread on the wiki and also on T-Mobile's site and it doesn't say new voice line required, just says that you need to have a voice line on your account.

When this service first came, it was available in my area. I subscribed and quit after a month.

Today, I put the same address and it says my area is not available. I tried putting my neighbor's address just to see if my address got black listed but it says the same.

I think there's way too many subscriber in my area now and Tmobile has a cap of number of subscriber per area. I think that's good, they are thinking of over-subscription per area.

I had to give mine up to move to Magenta plan, which is a long story, but basically they could give me everything I had and more for less money, but I had to give up that line.

so when it says "Credits may take up to 2 bill cycles" does that mean the first 2 months are $50?
Yes, you will pay $50 a month until the credits kick in. Your first credits will be for more than $25 to cover the usage during the 1st couple of months before the credits kicked in.

Basically, you eventually will have only paid $25 a month from the start of the service.

Just switched it to this one, $25 a month and u get $100 gift card for switching . Figured i can try for few month if it's not good then I can go back to Comcast which I was paying $70 a month
I was just going to run this and Spectrum in parallel for a bit. I WFH so need fairly solid internet, but man I would love to fire Spectrum. All they do is keep jacking up prices. I have never understood the utility mindset. We are bleeding customers so lets just raise rates. Anyways, I got the $100 GC so I figured it is basically 4 months free to give it a go. Seems pretty low risk to me. If nothing else, I am glad to see some new competition come on board. Competition is always a good thing with these giant monopolies.
