Can someone verify this? I don't think it's true.
It can be moved. They have the ability to geofence the device but they do not do so.

It does say you have to activate a new line... at least that's the way I read it

The home internet is the "new line"

The reps have no idea. That is obvious.

Just apply for the promo as the instructions tell you too. If you get it great, if not, we'll than I guess you really didn't qualify.
Each rep you chat with knows less then previous rep. It's ridiculous! lol

Great price but most of the reviews state it isnt consistant speeds and has frequent drops.

I wonder if this is portable as long as you have an oulet for power?
Mobile Carriers like to GPS lock their range extenders. I see how this would be no different.

And you are correct about the reviews. I just ran 3 speed tests with my T-Mo S22 Ultra from where I'd drop the router. speeds range from 6Mbps to 125Mbps down and never above 10Mbps up. This is on the "5G UC" connection.

so, what's the speed? will it reach like 1Gbps?
People should stop asking what's the speed they may get. As many posts before mentioned, the speed and ping varies by location. Location will play a huge role in stability and consistency of connection. Kind of like a "location lottery".

And when you add tons of new users because of this deal, the chance of winning this "location speed/ping lottery" is getting slimmer. And this deal likely has big impact to existing home internet users also.

Pretty easy to understand when each cellphone tower can only handle so many devices (or home internet users) and up to certain speed share by all the Tmobile users in that area. Before this deal, each person may get xxx mbps download (and certain ping). After this deal, the cellphone tower capability for each person/device will decrease (in certain area may decrease dramatically) when add these many new users to each cellphone tower. That download(and ping) number is not going to stay the same after adding so many people. So whoever posted their number, that number may change after potentially many people joining their area with this deal.

Remember Tmobile doesn't guarantee the minimum speed you get.

If the home internet speed is similar to the speeds you get from your 5G phones, I would not want that as my primary internet connection because T-Mobile service is not all that great in some areas. So make sure to run speed test, or tether first and use hotspot to check speed on your computer before assuming $25 over the air ISP will be good enough for home internet.

If they are existing t-mo customers, just do a speed test to get an idea, but even then it will vary. I got 1gbps from Cable company and it's only $60/month. If speed, ping, reliability important, I wouldn't gamble with $35 difference.

That would not surprise me. That happens with the free line promos
So you are paying additional $300 to lock in your $25 lifetime discount. I will say it is still worth it.

Anybody know if existing customers can get this deal for $25/month ???

I was shot down so if you do, you'd have to sign up under a new name and cancel the old service I assume. Since it's my primary internet (I live out in the sticks) couldn't afford a gap in coverage.
