Great price but most of the reviews state it isnt consistant speeds and has frequent drops.

I wonder if this is portable as long as you have an oulet for power?

I had this from its inception, originally it wasn't too bad-as time went on the signal got worse and buffered like nuts, 3 TV's a pc and phone. I finally gave up after 7 months and terrible to non-existent customer service. The price is definitely tempting, btw, their newer modem was worst than their first, I had a pc fan underneath to cool it down, no difference.

If true it's a no brainer. I have the service. You can expect 100mbs-300mbs. Down time nonexistent.

There is a new line added with TMHI. Should we use that new number associated with it to submit the $100 promotion or the primary phone number on the account??

I highly recommend using 844-839-5057 number to sign up. They are US-based and know how to do it quickly. If you talk to just regular customer care they wouldn't know what you're talking about and will be searching for the promo for ages, then will be asking their manager to help, then both of them will be searching…

I could not get this deal to work online and didn't want to call a rep, so I headed to the T-Mobile store, received the deal and the gateway, hooked it up, checked out a streaming movie, and everything worked great!
My biggest concern was rumor had it that you could not use it with a VPN. Well, I'm happy to report that my corporate VPN is unaffected, as I am using it right now with no issues. Since all you need for it to work is a wall outlet and a T-Mobile tower, it is also (supposedly) very portable, which solves some of my other issues. Logged into my account and the discount is already reflected. Just thought I'd share my in-store experience.

What happens after gateway hits 64 device limit? Would I get a notification? Can I then pick and chose which devices to prioritize over others?

Not sure, but it looks like from the breakdown, its 25 with the autopay discount, not 20.

Some postings show $25 minus the $5. I suspect these individual have not reached the $40 cap per account?

No. It is $55 before autopay discount. Promo give $25 bill credit = $30 before autopay discount.

The tmobile app was showing 50/month with a 100gc and no mention of a monthly rebate. Used the chat feature to get a rep. Rep wasn't sure and wanted to see a screenshot of the promo. I also gave her the CNET url. All the sudden she tells me oh yes it's a 25/month rebate promo and is active now. Since I'm not seeing it in my app I just applied for the internet through chat. They just needed my address, email to send a security code, and a credit card. 2 day shipping for $0. No activation fee. Strange how folks here were saying they needed a credit check. I'm on the 55 plus one plan.
