Great price but most of the reviews state it isnt consistant speeds and has frequent drops.

I wonder if this is portable as long as you have an oulet for power?
I had this from its inception, originally it wasn't too bad-as time went on the signal got worse and buffered like nuts, 3 TV's a pc and phone. I finally gave up after 7 months and terrible to non-existent customer service. The price is definitely tempting, btw, their newer modem was worst than their first, I had a pc fan underneath to cool it down, no difference.
If true it's a no brainer. I have the service. You can expect 100mbs-300mbs. Down time nonexistent.

I got the Arcadia one or whatever it's called. Haven't done much testing but compared to my fios 500/500 plan that I uses with Nest wifi, the T-Mobile gateway has shown faster download speeds compared to fios, every time I have tested today. Upload speeds are not nearly as good though. Ping close to the same, fios better there though.

Longtime Tmobile ONE customer and just signed up for this.

If you have Kickback like I do, doing two 5G tests at speedtest.net utilizing my cell phone data, sent me right past the 2GB kickback data allowance, so no $10 discount this month.

If you have more than 8 or more existing lines (voice & data) on your existing plan/account, the $5 autopay discount will not apply. It's max discount is $40 per month. Therefore the plan will be $30, not $25.

Just placed an order, rep said $25 credit promotion can not be combined with $100 mastercard promotion or any other promotion.

As per the rep, if I use promotion for $100 mastercard as specified in the OP, I'll not get $25 credit, the promotion as in the placed order will get replaced.
I can use one of them, not both.

Please comment.

Their service is horrible. I had their 5G internet for a while. Suddenly one of their towers broke down. It took them nearly a month, A MONTH IN 2022 to fix it. Had so many issues! Never again.
I had the same incident and doesn't help when working from home.
It worked well when towers is good but when it's down forget it.

What would be helpful is if you could state the brand/model of the gateway they sent you and the actual speeds you are getting.
updated original comment with brand/model: Arcadyan KVD21

speedtest.net at midnight: 420mbps down, 85mbps up, 10ms ping

Lol, I literally just ran a 5g Speedtest and immediately blew past my kickback allowance! BTW, my iPhone 14 pro got 491Mbps/16.1Mbps. I live about 1/4mi from a 5g tower. I never get a kickback on this line anyway but I should have used my free line that normally just sits in a drawer. My gateway arrives tomorrow so I hope this can free me from Spectrum.

I am kind of excited, have not had a post paid account for many years, living frugally with cheap prepaid plans. I just activated a Magenta Max plan to take advantage of $25 off. Hopefully the data is truly unlimited and I get to enjoy T-Mobile Tuesdays and all kinds of perks.

I am going to cancel my existing T-mobile HS internet, and use the one from the new account (under a family member's name)...they did not bother to check the same address is already registered with T-mobile home internet service. I am among the early adopters, started July 2021 so I know what I am going to get. So far so good, DL went down a little bit but still good enough for me. DL/UL speeds are alright like 400/40. already upgrade for me coming from Cox 10M bit/sec...
Fun fact, in the early days I got multiple phone calls from different reps asking how I liked the service, my answer was always it is good but I am afraid to recommend to my friends and neighbors so I can hog the bandwidth myself Smilie

Is anyone else in the Bay Area getting inconsistent and fluctuating signals and download speeds?

Model: KVD21

I tried 3 different locations in the Bay Area Saturday and Sunday. It is also raining a lot, so I don't know if weather is a factor. I don't think so, because there were some sunny moments and speed tests were still very inconsistent. The T-Mobile 5g signal map indicates all 3 areas I have tested were 5G Ultra Capacity(the highest signal), but the signal according to the modem was at best, good or very good, never excellent. 2 Fremont locations are close to freeways as well and assuming close to 5g towers.

1. San Leandro(Heron Bay) - 20 mpbs download.
2. North Fremont - 60 mpbs. And randomly goes up to 150 for a few seconds, then drop down to 20 mpbs.
3. Central Fremont - fluctuates between 20-150 mpbs. Hit 300 mpbs for a few minutes, then fumbles.

I tried a few first person shooter games online and the packet loss was really bad and random. I see everyone posting 200, 400, 500 mpbs and I wonder if my modem is broke or if service is just bad in the Bay Area. If the service is this inconsistent then this is a no go for me and would recommend against it for my fellow Bay Area people in those 3 locations. I would content be if I can consistently get 200 mpbs and I don't think that's too much to ask for.

How are existing 5G home internet users getting this offer? Cancel old one and get new ?
When I click on the post link and enter my address it says not available in my area. But I've been using this service of 5G home internet from T-Mobile for 5 months $50/month

I read more on the issue with 64 device limit...it seems that limit is per SSID, so I am hoping with 2 SSID one for 2.4 and one for 5, I should be fine with over 64 devices since many are only 2.4.

Are you selling internet to your whole neighborhood? Lol

64 devices sounds like a ton for a home user. You must have a super smart home.

I wasn't aware of the $100 card until the rep told me about without me asking. Two separate reps have told me that it applies. Many here were told the same straight from T-Mobile reps. So a lot of people are going to be mad if what he told you is true. However what he said didn't make any sense, if anything what would happen is that whoever is reviewing the $100 prepaid form that you submit will just denied it. The prepaid promo does not show on on your billing promo codes like the 2022 HINT P22 does, so there is no way it can replace it.

The only reason I see they might use to denie the prepaid card is the terms of the both promos say "May not be combined with some offers or discounts." but that is an open ended statement and doesn't specify which offers are excluded. So, we shall see but I really doubt that the $25 promo will get dropped if you apply to the card, the worst the could happen is that the prepaid gets denied.

it's not that much. Smart plugs, smart bulbs, smart switches, camera security system, TVs, mobile phones, gaming devices, computers, etc.
You can easily hit 64 devices fairly quickly
