Great price but most of the reviews state it isnt consistant speeds and has frequent drops.

I wonder if this is portable as long as you have an oulet for power?

I had this from its inception, originally it wasn't too bad-as time went on the signal got worse and buffered like nuts, 3 TV's a pc and phone. I finally gave up after 7 months and terrible to non-existent customer service. The price is definitely tempting, btw, their newer modem was worst than their first, I had a pc fan underneath to cool it down, no difference.

If true it's a no brainer. I have the service. You can expect 100mbs-300mbs. Down time nonexistent.

Gateway just arrived. Setup took 15 minutes and another 15 to hook up to my mesh router and finding best location.

Download/upload is 250 mb/68. I have over 43 devices connect to the router. I'll test it for a week before cancelling Spectrum and save me $50/month

I ordered mine yesterday. I saw the ad on their site, clicked through and the order said it would be $50 per month but today today I got this message

T-Mobile: Order# 0000000000 has shipped! T-Mobile's reliable high-speed home internet is on the way! Visit t-mo.co/shipment2 to check your order status.
Congrats! You will receive your promotional service discount from T-Mobile as long as you maintain eligibility. View t-mo.co/activity for account details.
Follow-up to this... My account now reflects that it was ordered and is the $25 per month rate. All of this was done online, not speaking to anyone. It just worked.

LOL, you apparently do not know me at all. And you've moved on? LMAO! You continue to post about a 200mb plan that you got for free for 10 years and could have salvaged if you wanted to?!?
But, I know whiners when I see one.
I have only posted on this thread about.

And yes, I moved on. That tablet was given away. I don't have it anymore.

I have no intention of being a T-Mobile customer anytime soon.

You can't call T-Force... I don't understand what you don't understand about me not understanding that you don't understand. You can reach out to them via Twitter or Facebook. If this is bothering you sooooo much after 10 years of free 200mb data, then reach out. Apparently it is important to you.
They disabled my account.
And claimed that my account never existed.
You keep thinking you are smarter than everyone else.

You seem to think that T-Mobile actually wants to continue giving people the free data.
You are naive.

I am using my own router in Router mode (Orbi RBK50) because I also have Pihole running, and when I log into the Xbox Series S and click Settings > Network settings it usually shows Double NAT detected. But after a quick Test NAT type it switches to Open. I can see on my router under Advanced > UPnP (which I have turned on) port 3074 is Active.

Wired
IPv4
NAT Type: Open
All services are available

I have been playing COD MW2 lately, sometimes it can be laggy but generally it is pretty good.
What IP your Orbi RBK50 router shows on WAN then?
Is it public or private? Confused

Do you have IPv6 enabled by any chance on your router? T-mobile data connections seem to be pure IPv6 and to handle IPv4 connections they are using 464XLAT which basically gives one IPv4 IP to many customers, thus why the ipv4 port forwarding limitation on T-Mobile's side. In other words the tower has one IPv4 ip and it then NATs that IP to all the customers using 464XLAT. Just wondering if your game is actually using IPv6 instead of IPv4 when reaching out to the server and that is why it shows that your NAT is good. Maybe when you run into problems is because one of the player is on an IPv4 only ISP or doesn't have IPv6 correctly configured l.

With the exhaustion of the unallocated IPv4 address pools, it will be
difficult for many networks to assign IPv4 addresses to end users.

This document describes an IPv4-over-IPv6 solution as one of the
techniques for IPv4 service extension and encouragement of IPv6
deployment. 464XLAT is not a one-for-one replacement of full IPv4
functionality. The 464XLAT architecture only supports IPv4 in the
client-server model, where the server has a global IPv4 address.
This means it is not fit for IPv4 peer-to-peer communication or
inbound IPv4 connections. 464XLAT builds on IPv6 transport and
includes full any-to-any IPv6 communication.

WAN is the public one, and yes, I have IPv6 passthrough set on my router. Sometimes on the Xbox it says IPv4 only, and sometimes it says IPv4 & IPv6. I have the Xbox set to Static IP 192.168.1.4 on the router, hardwired from the Orbi satellite.

T-Mobile router > Orbi Router > Orbi Satellite > Xbox Series S. All hardwired.

Testing the NAT was a suggestion on the T-Mobile ISP Reddit. I tried it and it does seem to set it to Open when testing once or twice.

I already had the router and my plethora of devices connected to the router with my previous service, you simply plug the router directly into the T-Mobile modem and everything was essentially the same. I disabled the T-Mobile Wi-Fi with a windows powershell script provided by Nater Tater on YouTube. It wasn't required to use my own router but turned it off because some reported it helped lower temps on the modem and reduces interference. I have the Arcadyan KVD21.

I also received KVD21, but I didn't set it up yet. I have other devices connected to my Orbi mesh router so I want to keep that up with the Orbi wifi. I'll look for that YouTube video on disabling T-Mobile wifi.

Thanks!
