Great price but most of the reviews state it isnt consistant speeds and has frequent drops.

I wonder if this is portable as long as you have an oulet for power?

I had this from its inception, originally it wasn't too bad-as time went on the signal got worse and buffered like nuts, 3 TV's a pc and phone. I finally gave up after 7 months and terrible to non-existent customer service. The price is definitely tempting, btw, their newer modem was worst than their first, I had a pc fan underneath to cool it down, no difference.

If true it's a no brainer. I have the service. You can expect 100mbs-300mbs. Down time nonexistent.

Supposedly you can pair it with the $5 watch plan or the $20 voice/text plan with no data
Quite certain you can't sign up for the $5 watch plan stand alone. Has to be paired with a voice line. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Wow I like how they make fun of other companies increasing their prices and they did the exact same thing. I use to have the home internet available now that it has remarketed as unlimited home i no longer am eligible and the home lite is 75 bucks for 100 gb or some crap. so they literally are now the most expensive internet available to me lol

Look at this post

"Thanks was able to get this deal using my $5/month Watch plan after two chat attempts... My only plan was: T-Mobile Wearable 500MB with separate number TI.
First one said I needed a full voice line no matter what and the second one said they'd try it and see if it would work after I told them that I can place and make calls with just my Galaxy Watch4 without my phone."

Have had Frontier for a couple years, around 400/300 speeds, pretty good. But they keep raising the price $5 or $10 and it is now around $70 with taxes and fees. Discounts they give you are very short lived.

After testing out the T-Mobile Internet Gateway on my default shelf location, and getting as high as 400/120ish speeds, with worse speeds around 180/40, normal average around 290/80, I dropped Frontier. Now this is in a home that was stated "High Speed Internet not available", so I'd imagine in less congested area's it should do even better. Of course moving gateway around as some others do should also improve speeds if desired.

My Samsung S22 5G phone is actually even faster connected to 5G tower, with 480 speeds. Lower Home Internet speed is probably due to going through wired router to gateway and double NAT IPV6. Hoping all of this improves or other options are figured out to get around these limitations within a couple years.

Only real issue I have is with the gateway/router, where I need port forwarding for IP camera's and Plex. But for now I can still connect remotely using Google remote desktop to HTPC/Server and access everything from there..
thanks, good to hear your experience, im paying $39.99 with frontier, halfway thru my first year with them, tmobile pays the early termination fee so i am considering this

How can some of you guys get over 200mbs? T-Mobile told me this is 180mbs max. I got around 100-150mbs and I'm happy. You must be living next to a 5G tower or something…

They underpromise on speed, because there are too many variables. You have to look at your connect type and signal stats to see what you can get. I get a little over 200 during peak times and it can easily double off peak. I am on a n41 band, you might be on n71.

That makes no sense though. How can you make a call without a voice plan on your watch? If anyone has done it successfully please post.
Search the thread for watch. And I literally linked it to a post that was successful. It's not about having a voice plan as much as it is about the system allowing you to have the promo code added to your account.

Any one lives in apartment and cannot enter the unit number?
Yes, this happened to me and UPS couldn't deliver so had to call them to get the address updated with the apartment number.

T-Mobile Help. You can message them directly. I have also requested they call me for the more difficult stuff.
So, I tried them...
Had them call me too...
They're useless - they told me the same thing - unfortunately, as a "legacy Sprint customer", and the fact that I'm still stuck on some Sprint Billing system they have yet to convert, I can't get T-Mobile offers.

Yet, they did ask if I downloaded the T-Mobile app and did the Tuesday thing and I could get a free coffee at Wendy's this week - really??? WTF!!

Not sure if this will help, but I never use the Apt box on address fields. I add the apt number to the end of my street address box.

Had it for a 1-2 weeks now. 200-450mbps. Ping average 37-63. Low speed may drop to like 90-100 mbps.

No disconnects. Had moved because hardwired CenturyLink was dropping several times a day for extended periods over 10 days or so and i could not tolerate that and having to use my T-Mobile hotspot for work with the 5gb limit.

Only complaint, missed the $20 for life discount deal by like 3 days. well another is no port forwarding, but can use other webcams instead of a unit that requires port forwarding.

Thanks, me too. The issue with T-mobile's home internet website though is that it doesn't let you put in an apartment number as you have to select a predefined address from dropdown menu to check home internet service availability. And you can't modify it for shipping either so it gets shipped without apartment number.
