Great price but most of the reviews state it isnt consistant speeds and has frequent drops.

I wonder if this is portable as long as you have an oulet for power?

I had this from its inception, originally it wasn't too bad-as time went on the signal got worse and buffered like nuts, 3 TV's a pc and phone. I finally gave up after 7 months and terrible to non-existent customer service. The price is definitely tempting, btw, their newer modem was worst than their first, I had a pc fan underneath to cool it down, no difference.

If true it's a no brainer. I have the service. You can expect 100mbs-300mbs. Down time nonexistent.

For some reason I am being billed 30$ for my internet. I don't think I am getting auto pay discount. I have 12 lines on my account if that makes a difference. Should I contact t force about this.

Unfortunately there is no bridge mode. Mobile broadband like this runs on CGNAT using IPv6.

I plug in my own router (set to AP with DHCP enabled) into the TMHI router via ethernet.

If you like to do a lot of fancy stuff, you'll need to set up a vpn for IPv4 or work with IPv6 natively.

How can some of you guys get over 200mbs? T-Mobile told me this is 180mbs max. I got around 100-150mbs and I'm happy. You must be living next to a 5G tower or something…
Max here was around 400Mbps in an area they said service is not available in (had to use different address to sign up). This morning it is running at 570Mbps. Don't know if they made adjustments somewhere, or perhaps some users cancelled and returned units, so now less congestion? Most likely just because it is 6:00am. However, the 400Mbps was occurring even during peak times around 7pm.

NO
Infact if you are heavy user you may need a small fan
Just get a USB fan and use the other usb-c port to power it and lay it on the top.

Xfinity is the absolute worst company I have ever dealt with!
They silently charged me for mobile I didn't have after what I thought was canceling my entire account. It was only when I lost my cc did I start getting texts saying we couldn't charge your account and to update my payment method. So I was paying for a phone I didn't use ever since I canceled cable and waht I thought was mobile too. They didn't send any statements, no messages, no nothing for 3yrs. Criminal.

So they cannot convert you and maintain your discount? Ask them to escalate to the executive team.
Will give it a try when I get a chance and time to waste (that's all I feel dealing with T-Mobile is = Wasted Time).
At this point, going with Verizon's $25 a month would probably be less hassle!

Something to point out, if you have an OTA antenna mounted outdoors or in an attic, you could always drop $100 (give or take some dollars) for an external mimo antenna and run the cable along your coax indoors. Then you can place your gateway wherever it comes into the house and go from there.

You'd just need to take care in opening the gateway so you don't damage it since tmo theoretically could charge you for returning a damaged unit.
I am interested in getting more details to use OTA antenna as i have one for local TV channels. Can you please share links with more details on re-using OTA antenna? and a link to $100 external mimo antenna please to use with OTA antenna!

I suggest contacting T-Force on Twitter or Facebook.
They are T-Mobile's most knowledgeable and powerful customer service reps - more so than any phone/chat reps.

What is this? The headline on your LinkedIn profile? Not sure if that's gonna get you many job leads.

You can ignore that post. Their logic was simply that if you have an OTA antenna outside that you could run cables for an exterior 5G antenna along the coax cable. Which may be a ridiculous task given that most people have them mounted high up and the wall opening for the coax is already sealed etc etc. Your OTA antenna won't help you with your 5G signal.

I had an experience with T-Mobile before, and once I got the right people everything was sorted out. But yeah, in the mean time it sucks! They were able to get me switched into a Magenta plan, bring over discounts, etc and I am paying less for more stuff now and I don't have to worry about the whole legacy account and the issues with that.
