Great price but most of the reviews state it isnt consistant speeds and has frequent drops.

I wonder if this is portable as long as you have an oulet for power?

I had this from its inception, originally it wasn't too bad-as time went on the signal got worse and buffered like nuts, 3 TV's a pc and phone. I finally gave up after 7 months and terrible to non-existent customer service. The price is definitely tempting, btw, their newer modem was worst than their first, I had a pc fan underneath to cool it down, no difference.

If true it's a no brainer. I have the service. You can expect 100mbs-300mbs. Down time nonexistent.

my parents have had it for 2 months with no issues whatsoever.
I have had it for 1 week, and continue to lose internet connection despite the 5G reception being fine. I have to reset the router at least 10 times a day.
going to keep giving it a try for another 1-2 weeks.

No. I get NO "noticible" buffer.

Do you have the link to the Nate's video or what do I search for? I have the new unit and it's getting 40 Mbps max, the old one I had (the round one) was getting 200-300 Mbps. I have called TMO twice and replaced the unit but still the same. I might need to try this. TIA

Did anyone with an existing Paramount+ subscription find a way to extend it using this promo?

Also, I signed up for the service online, activated it three days ago but don't see the $25 monthly discount. Since many here have reported it showing in their account immediately after activating the service, I wonder if anyone is in the same boat as me. TYIA
The promo id/name took 8 days for me for it to show up on my account.

I have the same issue, my old unit (the round one) was great and getting 200-300 Mbps but my new unit (the shorter square one) is getting 40 max. I have already called them twice and they couldn't figure it out, they sent me a new unit and it's still the same. Do you have the link to this Nate guy or what do I search for on YouTube? TIA.

Yeap, my old unit was getting between 300-600mbps. Seems they cappednthe new one some how to help control bandwidth.

Same for me with the T-mobile home internet.

Apart from YouTube and Netflix, everything else buffers and switches to 240p resolution for me even though my download speeds are in 120Mbps range.

Gamers buy a PC to make money by streaming. Everyone buys a PC nowadays to make money. No one uses it solely for entertainment besides oldies. Old farts who can't see the phone or tablet screen still use a PC.
PC gaming is cheaper in the long run than Xbox and PS. Oculus Quest VR is 10x better when connected to a PC, plus games cost 1/10 the price in some cases. New teen and older gamers are jumping to PCVR in record numbers. Rarely do you find a modern home without a PC.

If anyone can quote me an help me out.

I just got tmo home internet in Nov. No magenta max, been customer since '09 with 3 lines.

Switched from spectrum which was BAD BAD in my area, not saying this Tmobile is perfect but im saving money and can still stream and do mild gaming, so im happy

I got the 50$ mastercard GC back when they ran that special

So with autopay im 50 flat for internet

I did both online chat and 611...online chat guy was a jerk and I requsted I wanted whole transcript noted on my accnt (i literally have not had 1 issue with tmobile since 09, this is my 1st one)

I call 611 next day, get a nice rep. She said I was one of several calling for price adjustment. Talked to supervisor, lady was very apologetic, said can't match the 25 but gave me a 25 credit one time on my accnt.

This is over 200 pages and I have tried searching.

Can anyone advise on how to get Tmo to price match? Thanks
You basically have 3 options, of which only one I'm sure will 100% work.

1) Keep calling until you get a Rep that is willing to apply the promo on your account. Note that this is a risky one, as even if the Rep forces the promo for your account it might later fall off automatically. The billing system validates the promos every month, if the rep doesn't apply the promo correctly it will be removed automatically eventually by the billing system when it fails the promo requirements validation.

2) This is what some people have been told by some T-Mobile reps and is also based on what others have done with previous promos that have the 90 days term on it. Basically what you do is you add a 2nd Home Internet line and service for which the $25 promo will apply. You will have to keep both lines, the old one at $50 and the new one at $25 for 90 days. After 90 days you ask for the old line to be cancelled and keep the new one at $25. The promo I think says you can't make any changes for 12 months to your account but what the reps and others are saying based on previous experiences is that the 12 months portion of the terms is only applicable to voice lines. Since you are not making any changes to the voice lines and just removed a data/home internet line the promo will stick. Again, this is very very YMMV and again you might end up paying $75 for 90 days and still not getting the promo if this fails.

3) This is the one that will work 100% for sure but it also might have some additional costs. Is basically opening a new account under a relative's or significant other name. If you have a friend that has T-Mobile check if he is Ok getting this deal for you and you paying him the $25. Or open a new account under your spouse's name, this will require a $20 voice line and the $25 internet line. Supposedly you can use a $5 Smartwatch line for this promo too, making it $25+$5 but I have to see yet anyone confirming that works.

Pretty happy with this. Was paying 80/mo for 400/20 on spectrum and with dropout connection every hour for the last year.

We live 0.75 miles from a 5g n41 tower. Off-peak hitting 440/80 and busy time we get 260/60. No issues for 2 weeks.

Depends on your area. Also, using an ethernet cinnection is always best.
