Sorry to hear that. I have the C8, and have been gaming on it since 2018, and still no burn-in after 4+ years of ownership. For the past 2 weeks, I've been playing Modern Warfare 2 PS5 non-stop. No issues whatsoever. I'm in the HDR video mode, with max OLED Light at 100, 100 for contrast, and 50 for brightness on a 65C8.

I want a C2 for the HDMI 2.1, but with the C3 being 20% brighter, it make sense for me to wait until next month when the C3 is announced before deciding whether I should go for the C2 or a C3 then.

GREAT TV! I got this 65" C2 from Costco a few weeks ago for $1699 w/ the 5 year warranty, it might be worth it to some to save $250 here. My C2 is replacing a 65" B7 that's been going strong for almost 5 years as my gaming TV. The B7 is getting kicked upstairs to replace the plasma in the family room.

It seems some people haven't had good experiences with LG OLED's but mine have been nothing but fantastic. I think LG probably has the most OLED's out there so there's bound to be issues, FWIW.

Oh it's all too real, they're literally dead as a doornail.

And there's a scattering of them all around the edges...with a few real special areas. The worst part is it's quite common.

On the contrary to other folks, I have had my LG E9 for years, as well as a LG CX, and neither have skipped a beat.. and they both get used daily. (CX is my monitor, actually)

Upon telling LG about it, and having a back and forth for a few days they basically told me too bad, and gave me a list of their authorized repair shops. They claim they can't do anything because they revoked "authorized seller status" from the store I purchased my TV from (they revoked it years after I bought my TV); but of course that's just a total excuse and a small step up from them just boldly telling me to "screw off".

I've had plenty of TVs and none have had issues like this...I have a Pioneer from 2004 that still looks great and it's 20 years old.

Furthermore, LG OLED are just too dark, I've spent a lot of time calibrating in the dark and you really can't stop black crush from creeping in. People on the internet telling you to spent hundreds of dollars to get your screen calibrated are insane or they do that for a living. Other brands just work right out of the box. The colors are vibrant and the contrast looks great at times, but it's just not worth it. On top of that you'll only see a any real difference while watching top of the line BluRay quality content. And on top of that their upscaling of other content is poor.

Next, LG products are just not as premium feeling, the packaging is second rate, the remote always felt cheap, the menus look like a cartoony mess, the entire product has a flimsiness to it. And to top it all off WebOS is an absolute piece of garbage, the UX is poor and there's significant apps missing from their store. Want to watch sports, better get a Firestick...just unacceptable for a TV that costs as much as they do.

In short, you're paying a big markup for a few scenes where the colors have a little extra pop. This is like buying a car that's unreliable, uncomfortable, handles poorly and guzzles gas just because it's got great acceleration. Just don't.

And honestly someone has to start saying it. The internet is just full of LG fanboys praying at their altar acting like it's the only true option. Just absolute nonsense. I feel like everyone is on crazy pills or just loaded to the gills with post-purchase rationalization.

You've got me scared! I have a B8 as well, but no issues have arisen yet and feel it's the best TV I've ever owned. I do agree it can be a bit dark, but the C-series is also supposed to be brighter than the B-series.

There was one scene in House of the Dragon (at night on the beach) my wife and I were watching in the day and literally thought the scene was meant to be almost entirely 100% black. We couldn't see ANYTHING, even outlines. Cranked up brightness to 100 and suddenly could see (although it looked like shit). So it can be a pain. Asked the wife if I could buy blackout curtains (which we'd only selectively use), she thought I was batshit crazy.
