Not sure where you live that people are begging you to take what they're selling for $1k here.
Regardless, your claim about pool tables in general being an object of inevitable buyers remorse further supports buying a cheap table like this versus the heavy classic style that we typically think of.
For the price, it's certainly only gonna be passable at best.
Many of the reviews mention shipping damage. I bought a 9' shuffleboard table from Walmart last year. While the Walmart CS was good, the freight company they used clearly didn't care one bit amount the product. Box was a disaster; clearly tossed around and walked all over, with zero care. The play surface was completely marred. The Logistics company and the freight company they subcontracted with were never on the same page and it took me nearly a month and a half to get a new table.
the playfield is ~76 x 38 compared to a full size table 100 x 50 (not that many people want a full size "9-foot" table in their house). the surface is engineered wood which will sag and dent over time.
It's a good price for this kind of product, I just never understood who this was for

These tables are fine for the general family and friend gathering. I have a similar one and has lasted 10 plus years if taken cared of.
Not for those serious players of course.

Yes that's more then this table but well worth it. It looks beautiful and will last for decades.
