Ordering for use as clothes rack for pants.
Might I suggest a good recumbent exercise bike instead?

The seat is great for pants. Handle bars become dual purpose for laying or a good place for clothes on hangers
I used a rowing machine at Academy to try it out. Realized that if you fart while using this machine, you're coming back into that cloud over and over again no matter where you let loose in the row. Great deal, though!

Well you still can get some exercise when you bend down to pick up your clothes hanging off of it. Sure you could prop up the rower and hang the clothes like that, but at least if you bend down you can claim you use it to work out.

This got me doing research so thanks for that but got this rower instead for a little bit more. Also, got it @ Walmart since same price as Amazon but larger cash back but linking Amazon for convenience :-)

I've had that Sunny one for around 8 years now or possibly it's predecessor. It looks the same and has the same specs. It's held up great even with it in the garage. It's been used around 2x a week. We have a small tv on the wall in front of it and just throw YouTube rowing workouts on it.
I can't speak for the quality of the FR one, but I've owned this same Sunny rower and, functionally, it seems like it's a step down from the FR machine. The Sunny is a magnetic rower which gives you a static resistance throughout the entire stroke. The FR rower is magnetic and air, so the harder you pull, the greater the resistance created. While the Sunny is great for beginners and the casual rowers, I feel like I quickly outgrew it and couldn't get enough resistance despite it being on the highest setting. The Sunny's LCD screen is also very bare bones with basically a stroke and calorie counter. Ultimately, I sold it during pandemic for more than what I paid.

Also, the other commenter was right in stating that these machines are tailbone crushers...at least mine was. I was definitely feeling it after an hour rowing session, which was certainly a factor in why I got rid of it.

I imagine there are many rowing machines collecting dust in my neighbors' home. I thought about buying a new one, but I would bet I can get a used one nearby.

I can speak to the FR cage and bench which are extremely strong but they are designed to support a ton of weight

Yep! I've also got the FR squat cage and it's been great 5 years strong now.

(My apologies for the delay.Stayed off SD to save money for a few days heh heh)
Anyway, it was more just reading reviews regarding "best budget rowers" and going off instinct. There's a ton of fitness websites that talk about how great the SH rower is and not many talking about FR. In the end, I'm 6 ft tall and read that SH rower has long rails and one of the websites said if you were taller you might have an issue with the FR. Also, the SH is one of the quieter ones and I think I read on reviews for FR people were complaining it was loud. I also read somewhere that the app for FR is pretty pointless unless you pay for it. I did have a hard time coming to terms that the SH doesn't track distance but I also row to warm up, not to go for long distances so it's good for my warm up before I do lifting or anything else. In the end, it was a toss up though.

On another note, the last comment talked about the Fitness Reality cage. I actually have had that for years. It's held up nicely but I didn't realize how short the model was in the picture. It gets the job done but I could never do things like pull ups on it. I was a bit afraid that if the FR cage was that small the rower might have the same issues for me.
