Yep got them for gifts, had high hopes for the Billie eilish ukulele- I have a $120 Kala SLNG to compare with also and that thing is way better acoustically and perfect finish wise with this almost to the same acoustic level (actually louder). The Billie eilish one also has bad buzzing and a ton of finish defects - this isn't perfect either but actually less imperfections(the Billie eilish one does have an abalone sound hole inlay though). I have a Mitchell mu40c concert one too and I actually think this is better/louder than that. Ordered two more, gonna prob keep one and give the second away.

For guitar at that age he'd need 1/4 size or at very most 1/2 size (but half size will definitely be way too big).

The ukelele could be good fun though and he could basically hold it like a guitar!

Using the Slickdeals link, I see the uke for $18, but when I do a search for ukuleles on the Adorama Music site, it shows this same uke for $40. Any idea why?
